So...we spent Wednesday and Thursday at the resort.  Hanging out with my brother and some of their friends.  There was happy hour on Wednesday night.  Thursday we started getting ready for the drive back home.

We left Friday mid morning with a different route.  Decided to take the back route to Gila Bend, over to Quartzite, around Vegas to Henderson, then up to 93North.  It kept us off the major freeway, and was a better day for it.  Stopped for the night at the truck stop right off the junction.  Dry camped for the night and then continued on to Wells Nevada, then Jackpot, coming to a stop outside of Twin Falls for the night.
Today we drove the last leg home.  Arrived arounf 1 in the afternoon.  Cleared out the truck and trailer, put things away and out the trailer in storage until next time.

What a great day.  We traveled to the Superstitious Mountains area today.  Stopped at Goldstream Ghost town.  Test it is a tourist trap per se...but it was really cool. most of the buildings were original from the 1800's.  There was a train ride, horseback riding, museum, general store.  The General Store sold old-fashioned candy, fudge, chocolates, and more.  It was a blast. 
Up the road is Tortilla Flats.  There is a live band, restaurant and bar, gift shop and icecreaic parlor.  The patio is where the music is.  Great band today.  The restaurant walls are covered in dollar bills..signed and dated by people who have stopped there.  It is really interesting to see.  Food was good.. staff are hard working, music even better.  The seats at the bar were actual saddles.
If i was traveling to this area... consider adding this as a place to check out for sure.

So, today we went to Picacho Peak.  It is the cite where a civil war skirmish was fought.  The Union won, and three men were killed.  I found it extremely interesting.  There were several trailheads you can go on for views of the flies and fauna as well.  It was $7.00 for the car to get in.  Extremely interesting place.
After we left there, we ate at Anya's Mexican restaurant...really great food at a great price!  All in all a good day.

We arrived yesterday afternoon to Sundance RV Resort.  The place is beautiful, clean, and well kept.   Once we got set up, weveent in search of my family's.  It was great to see them.  Sat and visited.  Today we are going sight seeing...more to follow

2019...so it begins.  We decided to visit family in Phoenix again this spring.  It takes a little over 2days pulling the travel trailer. Started out on Friday,Mar March 22nd...well... I mean after we have to fix the hitch in the driveway.  There's always something when you have a trailer.   Sooo, needless to say we got a later start than we hoped for and ended up spending the night in the vacant lot across from the truck stop outside Wells, NV.

Today we traveled from Wells, to Wiekiup, As.  The drive thru Vegas was the worst traffic and construction.  Crazy.  We tried to stop in Wickemberg at the Travel Center...the whole place was packed...decided to press on until we got here.   Ended up at Dazzos....took the last spot. We are both tired. 
Funny fact...we saw more Idaho vehicles than any other State on our journey here, until we left Vegas Must be true...it really does stay in Vegas.😁
