Mountain View RV, Arco, ID

Our last leg, will be home tomorrow.  Nice place, they have a restaurant on site, but it was closed today. specialty is ribs. Smelled heavenly, oh well.  The owner did offer places to eat, one being within walking distance, but we decided to just stay in camp.

Our drive was mostly scenic byway, no interstate.  Saw Bison, Antelope, and beautiful scenery.  Felt like a long drive, so we are kicking back, getting ready for the drive home.

Fort Laramie

Last night was one of the worst storms we have encountered in our rig.  High winds, rain, lightning.  When we got up this morning some parts of the park were flooded, but we were not.  Drove to Fort Laramie, were able to see some of the sights, but it it extremely hot here, so didn't do much in the heat.  Staying at Chuck wagon RV.  Quaint place, but is 50 feet from the railroad tracks, train comes by every half hour, could be another long night.

Buffalo Bill Cody Ranch

What a fun day, we took a tour of Buffalo Bill's Winter ranch, what a treat.  The house is restored to it's original glory, most of the outbuilding were as s well, and there is a small herd of Bison on the property.

From there we went to the Golden Spike railroad hub highly recommend both.  Great day, lots of fun with family.

Rawlings

Traveled to Rawlings WY, KOA today.  Place is nice, looks like they are working on it as well.  Our site has a lot of dirt, but they are attempting to plant grass.  The wind was blowing so hard, the RV was rocking.  Makes it hard to sit outside. Not a bad place for overnight, wished the wind died down.

Tomorrow on to North Platte NE

Adventure July 2021

Our first leg lands us in Soda Springs, Idaho where we meet up with family to journey on to North Platte NE.  We are parked at Caribou RV Park.

We have a partial hook up, water and electric, WiFi for $27.00 a night.  Place is ok for overnight, but there is no grass, only tall weeds and sticker plants.  Fire pit is overgrown, almost stepped in it because it is not visible.  No place to out up the dog run.  On a busy road.  Yikes
